ZIRCAR Ceramics’ Castertip Type Z-MAG/HT+ is a Non-RCF “hard” castertip for use on twin-roll continuous aluminum strip-casting equipment. Z-MAG/HT+ combines shot-free Alkaline Earth Silicate (AES “bio-soluble”) fiber with inorganic binders. The fibers built into this product are not regulated under EU Directive 97/69/EC.
Z-MAG/HT+ offers caster operators a wider selection of castertips from which to choose. Z-MAG/HT+’s proprietary manufacturing process makes it completely inorganic with extremely low chemically-combined water. Z-MAG/HT+ does not outgas upon contact with molten aluminum. Z-MAG/HT+ castertips can be coated with Boron Nitride or Aluminum Oxide coating such as AL-CEM/XTW.
ZIRCAR Ceramics’ castertip manufacturing process permits castertips to be manufactured in widths up to 2400mm (94.5”). We also manufacture custom, precision-crafted Castertip Assemblies which enable users to lower their cost of ownership by reducing their tip shop costs.
